Title: Brauer groups of K3 surfaces and Kummer varieties
Abstract:
I will discuss the problem of determining the Brauer groups of K3 surfaces over number fields and related conjectures on K3 surfaces and abelian varieties. I will explain the connection to rational points via the Brauer-Manin obstruction. I will also report on recent results on the Brauer group of Kummer varieties attached to the Jacobians of hyperelliptic curves, including an example where the Brauer group is trivial (joint work with Yuri Zarhin).
