Florian Pop, University of Pennsylvania, USA 24.06.2014, 12.00, B1-37 (changed from 25.06!) Title: New developments in birational anabelian geometry Abstract: It is one of the features of all the (birational)
anabelian results that, given Galois theoretical information,
one eventually recovers the prime divisors / points, etc.,
of geometrical objects under discussion. I plan to discuss
the situation when much less Galois information is available,
precisely one has either
a) the Z/l abelian-by-central Galois group (in the usual geometrical setting), or b) the Z_l abelian-by-central Galois group (in an arithmetical situation). I will end up by discussing some new results, and give hints about the proofs and hopes. |
